What is the difference between beet juice and beet kvass?
Producers often use these names interchangeably, but the difference is in the preparation method. Beet juice is pressed from fermented beets, while kvass is the extract naturally produced during beet fermentation. Their benefits are similar.
How to drink it?
Start with 50–100 ml and gradually increase the amount as your intestines adapt. Ideally, drink 250–300 ml on an empty stomach or between meals, but not in the evening. People who exercise regularly may consume more.
IMPORTANT!
Boiling the kvass destroys its beneficial properties, so drink it chilled or at room temperature.
Beet kvass is also excellent as an ingredient in dishes, e.g., adding a zesty, tangy flavor to borscht.
Storage:
Since beet kvass is unpasteurized and contains no preservatives, fermentation is active – the beets continue to ferment. To slow this process and extend shelf life, store it in the refrigerator or a dark, cool place (max. 20°C).
Shelf life:
The product is best consumed within 6 months from the production date. The shelf life is limited because it is unpasteurized.
Can it be consumed after the expiration date?
The date on the label indicates “Best before:”. After this date, the product may still be safe to consume, but its consistency or appearance may change. Do not consume products labeled “Use by”.
Ingredients:
Extract from fermented beets (beetroot, water, fresh garlic, bay leaf, allspice, Kłodawa salt)
