Matcha Agata – First Harvest Green Tea Powder
Matcha Agata is made from first-harvest green tea leaves of the year.
This means the leaves are picked in spring and are very delicate in both texture and flavor. The aromatic profile of this tea is perfect for preparing unsweetened matcha beverages. If you avoid sugar or prefer drinking matcha only with water, or don’t want to add sweet flavors to your latte, this matcha is ideal for you! Its creamy, light froth and deep flavor have won over even the biggest matcha skeptics.
Caffeine and energy
Matcha Agata is high in caffeine. We recommend drinking it in the morning or before noon as a coffee alternative. It provides gentle, gradual energy without sudden spikes, making it ideal for long drives or intense mental work, such as studying, working, or exams.
Cooler water brings out sweeter aromas and produces a more relaxing effect.
Hot water (up to 70°C) enhances its energizing effect.
Important: Do not drink matcha on an empty stomach. The best time to enjoy it is after breakfast, during a moment of calm in your day. Its rich flavor makes it perfect for all matcha-based drinks, but it can also be enjoyed simply with water at various temperatures.
How to prepare Matcha
Method I – traditionally with a Chasen
Pour about 100 ml of hot water into a cup and let it cool to around 70°C. This warms the cup, making the tea more enjoyable.
Place 2 g of matcha into a bowl or Chawan. Sifting the matcha helps prevent clumps.
Slowly pour the prepared water over the matcha. Mix with a chasen in an M-shaped motion for about 10 seconds until a frothy layer forms.
Method II – using a shaker
Place 2 g of matcha and 100 ml of water into a shaker or bottle and mix until no clumps remain. Use water at around 50°C, as hot water may cause the shaker to explode.
The story behind Matcha Agata
Sometimes a product is about more than just taste or quality. This tea was inspired by the story of a Polish woman and a Japanese man, who combined the tradition of Japanese matcha with Polish love for family, nature, and good people. The brand is created with heart, passion, and respect for the culture from which this green miracle comes.
We are proud to be part of this story, and that is why Matcha Agata is now in our offer – because we believe good things deserve a place on our shelf.
50 g of Matcha Agata makes approximately 25 servings.
