Spicy beetroot leaven 500ml
Flavor Designer Andrzej Jurga has been producing fermented foods for over 30 years.
With this experience, he has perfected the right proportions and knows exactly at what temperature and for how long to ferment them to achieve the ideal result. Many people approach beet kvass hesitantly, thinking it will taste earthy and overly beet-heavy. After trying ours, they are surprised. Why? Andrzej has balanced the flavor using garlic, bay leaf, allspice, salt, and a touch of red hot pepper (0.5%) so that it is savory, slightly salty-sour, full, and intense. Even children enjoy it. It contains no vinegar. We select the best vegetables, spices, and uniodized Kłodawa rock salt. No shortcuts and no cheating – we provide an honest, real ingredient list, and we consume our products ourselves daily.
Beet kvass is low in calories and contains very little sugar, making it a great component of various diets, such as keto.
In summary, beet kvass is:
free from preservatives
free from vinegar
contains no added sugar
unpasteurized
naturally fermented at controlled temperature
contains only 0.8 g of salt (half as much as the classic version)
made with love!
What is the difference between juice from fermented beets and beet kvass?
Producers often use these names interchangeably, but the difference may lie in the preparation method. Juice should be pressed from fermented beets, while kvass is the extract naturally formed during beet fermentation. The properties are similar.
How to drink it?
Start with 50–100 ml and gradually increase the dose as your intestines adjust. Ideally, drink 250–300 ml on an empty stomach or between meals, but not in the evening. People who exercise regularly may drink more.
IMPORTANT! Boiling the kvass will destroy its properties, so drink it chilled or at room temperature.
Beet kvass is also excellent as an addition to dishes, for example, to borscht, giving it a tangy, zesty flavor.
Storage:
Since beet kvass is unpasteurized and contains no preservatives, fermentation is actively ongoing, meaning the beets continue to ferment. To slow this process and extend shelf life, store it in the refrigerator or in a dark, cool place (max. 20°C).
Shelf life:
The best before period is 6 months from the production date. The period is not long because it is unpasteurized.
Can it be consumed after the expiration date?
The date on the label is “Best before:”, which means that after this date the product may still be consumable, but its consistency or appearance may change. Do not consume products labeled “Use by”.

Extract from fermented beets (beetroot, water, fresh garlic, bay leaf, allspice, Kłodawa salt, red hot pepper 0.5%)
